St Mary’s PFA are a group of parents and staff members who work to raise funds for our school through events and fundraisers. The events we run are varied, from discos to fairs and raffles and much more in between.

The money raised is then spent on equipment and experiences to enhance the children’s learning. So far in the 2016/17 school year we have spent money on….

  • Christmas gift of books for every child in the school
  • Contribution towards the running of a school minibus
  • Purchase of the Christmas tree
  • Christmas Play costumes
  • EYFS bean bags and library equipment
  • Funds towards plants for each class
  • New stage lighting, mixer and stand
  • Classroom speakers

This is only 6 months’ worth of spending so there is still so much more still to come!

When we are not fundraising, we can often be seen about the school. Some members spend time volunteering with classes, helping with any redecoration projects or going along with classes on school outings as volunteers. We also run the tuck shop on a Tuesday after school.

The PFA are a friendly, hardworking group, who love to support the school. We are always on the lookout for more volunteers to join the committee or to help with the various events. We meet once a month informally, to discuss new ideas and events. If you are interested in joining the committee, or would just like to offer help at our events please contact Mrs. Tebbutt via the office. You can do this on the “Contact us” page on this site or in person.

We look forward to hearing from you.
