Our Faith

We had our last SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) inspection in July 2016. We are inspected on 4 aspects of school life: Our distinctiveness as a Church school, Collective worship (assembly), Religious Education and Leadership and Management. We are very proud to be able to say that we were awarded OUTSTANDING for every area of the inspection.

St. Mary's CE VA Primary Academy is a Church of England School and forms part of the Diocese of Peterborough. Click on the images below to go to their websites.

Here are a few of our favourite quotes:

“All here are seen as part of the school family.”

“The school is a shining example of Christian love”

The school’s passionate aspiration for every child as a child of God leads the practice that enables to make at least satisfactory and often more than expected progress.  This means that levels of attainment at the end of year 6 are consistently above national averages.”

“Prayer and reflection are key elements of worship.  Learners make good use of inspirational spaces around the school for reflection and prayer.”

“Monitoring of collective worship is deeply embedded, having a clear purpose, and actively involving governors and parents’ committee.”

“Learners are inspired by RE and learn well"
